3rd Fatal Climbing accident on Mont Pourri
2 Mountaineers dead & 1 seriously injured
Another tragic climbing accident on the glacier of Mount Pourri has claimed the lives of two mountaineers and left one seriously injured.
The three French mountaineers fell into a crevasse on Saturday afternoon at around 3400 metres on the Geay glacier.
The guardian of the Refuge du Mount Pourri alerted rescue teams after the three men failed to return in the late afternoon.
Sadly there have already been two other fatal incidents on Mount Pourri this summer, one at the end of July which claimed one life and one at the end of June where one person died and another was seriously injured.
