Trail running race that passes through Bourg as part of UTMB week
This epic trail running endurance race sees competitors running 145km from Courmayeur in Italy, heading through Bourg Saint Maurice and on to Chamonix to the finish.
Beautiful, technical, wild - the TDS is one of the toughest trail running races there is, with 9,176m positive elevation gain along the route.
Bourg Saint Maurice is an important stop in this race, featuring the first major refreshment point - located in the gymnasium of the middle school in the town centre.
Runners arrive around 04:15 and participants will continue running through until around 11:00. The fastest competitors make it all the way to Chamonix that same night, with the slower ones arriving the next day.
