Les Arcs feels firmly in its winter rhythm this week, with the mountains looking well covered from the high alpine bowls down into the trees above Bourg Saint Maurice. From a local point of view, the season feels nicely settled now, with reliable snow across the area and a base that has had time to bed in. Conditions feel consistent day to day, and the mix of open terrain and forest runs is working particularly well in the current weather.
Snow and Weather Summary
Snow depths across Les Arcs are currently around 260 to 280cm at altitude, with approximately 100 to 120cm at resort level depending on sector. There has been little fresh snowfall recently, but the existing snowpack remains in good condition thanks to cold overnight temperatures and regular grooming. Daytime temperatures on the mountain have typically ranged between -9 and -2 degrees Celsius, with freezing levels sitting below 1500m for much of the week. Winds have been mostly light, with occasional moderate gusts on higher ridges but nothing disruptive. Skiing is strongest on higher slopes where the snow stays dry and grippy, while lower and tree lined runs can feel firm early in the morning before softening slightly later on.
