Temperatures have been dropping sharply over the last few weeks and we are now getting close to a winter climate here in the Alps.

The forecast for the next few days is for the clear, cold weather we've been having to disappear and clouds are expected this weekend with a chance of snow.

There has already been some snow in Chamonix, Avoriaz and Tignes and the other resorts have been treated to a dusting.

The Tignes glacier has been open since September 26th but if you want a bit of pre-winter snow-fun then you'll need to be at the London ski show or the Rock on Snowboard Tour in Les Deux Alpes next weekend.

If you can't make it to these events then log on next week for our exclusive reports from the two winter warm ups.

See you soon.
