We have had so much snow here in Les Arcs and La Plagne, it's hard to believe quite how much has come down. The full ski area is not yet up and running but we do have a few lifts and runs working. there is even more snow forecast for the weekend so once the skies clear and the piste bashers get out we can expect some great days on the hill. Until then we're sticking to the trees.

We have SO much snow. Three metres at the top of the hill and over a metre in Arc 1600. When the sun comes out Les Arcs and La Plagne is going to be the place to be.

We have had some great days this week with clear skies and fresh snow and we have had some very wintry conditions with heavy snow falls.

Saturday sees the beginning of the last week of the season in The Paradiski area and an important event is coming too, The Salomon Jib Academy is visiting La Plagne with the aim of finding the next Sammy Carlson or Simon Dumont!

It's getting a little bare up there as we have had a lot of wind once again but more snow is coming over the weekend and into next week ready for the busy holiday period. There are lots of activities scheduled for the coming week especially for the kids!

It has been a good week all round in the Paradiski with great snow conditions and sunny weather. The L.A Sessions was a huge success in Arc 1800 with some of the best French pro skiers and boarders competing and pulling some massive tricks on a big air jump.

It's Ladies Week in Peisey-Vallandry this week so lets make the most of it! Various events and activities will take place including women specific ski tests, discounts, mountain buffet and torchlit descent.

Its still snowing here and there is more on its way for the next few days which is making conditions great at the moment but it is bitter on the slopes.

It snowed pretty much all of last week and now the conditions are supurb with sun and warm temperatures too! We have 200cm of snow at 3000m having had nearly 70cm in the last couple of days. This week in La Plagne the Freestyle World Cup Finals are taking place and the one to watch is the Half Pipe Final in the Pro Pipe in Bellecote on Thursday 19th March.

Conditions are great at the moment on the mountain and with a weather front coming in at the weekend hopefully we will have some more snow.

Another busy week in the Paradiski with lots of visitors in each of the resorts. We have had lovely weather so far with a mixture of snow and sunshine forecast for the rest of the week. Preparations have started for the LA sessions next week with the kicker being built in 1800.

Another sunny week in Les Arcs with lots of sunshine and clear skis making it ideal to be out on the hill enjoying the view. For those looking for something to do tonight why not head over to Bar King Mad in 1800 for the Mad in Sound tour 2010.

Its snowing in Les arcs and has been for the past few days, the freezing level has dropped and this has meant that it is now snowing right down to Bourg Saint Maurice. Avalanche risk is still high and visibility is low so please do take care on the slopes.

The lifts across the Alps close this Sunday and, with a few exceptions, the winter season finishes. What a winter it’s been though! It seems like only yesterday that the lifts opened but since December we have had so many great days on and off piste and so many events and parties have taken place.

Warm temperatures and high avalanche risks in Les Arcs this week. However the wind has picked up and there are clouds rolling in for this weekend when we have been promised a heavy snow dump.

A sunny week in the Paradiski and another little dusting earlier in the week mean conditions are great at the moment and the skiing is very pleasant. The slopes are busy but if you take advantage of the quiet lunch period it is like skiing in January.

Conditions are great as usual in La Plagne and Les Arcs with fresh snow having fallen for the last couple of days. Temperatures are warm again now though but there is chance of more snow at the weekend.

Perfect skiing conditions prevail in the Paradiski area after nearly a metre of snow in the last week or so. It is real January weather at the moment with cold temperatures as well as great snow. More snow is coming too, ready for February!

Plenty of outdoor events going on this week including the Mountain Rider's Respect Festival which is on in Arc 1800 this weekend and an Invitation to Speed Skiing which is open to all on 9th April in Montchavin-Les Coches.

Another lovely week of fantastic weather. the resort is starting to get busier with the February holidays coming up, also coming up are the LA sessions which i will be looking at later this month.

A cloudy week in the resort with some snow showers during the week.This week 1950 celebrated the life of Robert Blanc, the man responsible for much of the development of Les Arcs, with a fun race open to all.

Although it has been a quiet week in Les Arcs and La Plagne we are looking forward to some new snow at the beginning of next week which should freshen up the pistes and see us into the last part of the season.

With the Telemark World Cup coming up this weekend there is a Telemark theme throughout the resort this week. Sunny skies and cold temperatures prevail and conditions are ok after the tiny bit of snow we had a couple of days ago.

Its officially Summer now here in the Alps or at least it feels like it with temperatures reaching into the twenties at 1000m! There are a few events still happening around resort notably the Grand Raid off-piste competition this Saturday.

Hello and welcome to the video snow reports from the Paradiski area for the new winter season. My name is Rebecca and each week I'll be bringing you an update on the weather and snow conditions in resort as well as news, gossip and coverage of any events taking place.

An interesting week in Les Arcs with varying weather conditions and the February holidays well under way. Plenty to do in the resort this week from snow shows to fancy dress parties.

A cold and Icy week in Les Arcs with lots of sun but little snow and very cold temperatures. Arc 1600 hosted a telemarking competition earlier on in the week and the rest of us are enjoying the buzz for the Winter X-Games being held in Tignes later this week.

This week we started with four days of wonderful blue skis and plenty of snow keeping the slopes nice and fresh. today has seen a big change with continuous snowfall and cloudy skies.

Although we're moving into the last few days of the season there is still plenty of snow on the hill and it looks like there might be more to come.

Another sunny week in Les Arcs.The opening of the resort has meant there is now plenty going on in ,music events to weekly board tests and a range of slopes to explore.

Its hot at the moment and it has been now for over a week. Bright sun and blue skies mean slushy pistes but nonetheless there is some great skiing out there and you can still just about ski down to Champagny.

It has been a lovely week here in Les Arcs, with beautiful blue skies and wonderful views, there is more snow forecast for the end of the week which will add to the wonderful piste conditions we are experiencing at the moment.

It's been a snowy week here in Les Arcs with lots of fresh powder around. Visibility hasn't been great but is due to improve over the next few days.

A busy week in the resort with the L.A. Session taking place yesterday despite the worry of possible cancelation due to the weather conditions. conditions are set to stay quite cloudy for the rest of the week with snow showers later on.

A cloudy week in Les Arcs with poor visibility. Speedflying Pro is taking place this week but due to bad weather the schedule has been altered so do check the website before heading up to avoid disappointment.

Another festive week in Les Arcs and its busiest so far this season. Visibility hasn't been fantastic but we have had some fresh snow earlier in the week. I'll be back with more from the resort next week.

We are finally getting some much needed snow in Les Arcs and La Plagne ready for 2009. Conditions were starting to get a little dodgy but hopefully we are back on track now. Happy New Year!

We have had lovely weather conditions over here this week with lots of fresh snow and clear blue skies. Off-piste riders are warned to take great care due to the risk of avalanche.

Temperatures have been dropping sharply over the last few weeks and we are now getting close to a winter climate here in the Alps.

London's Metro Ski and Snowboard Show marks the start of the winter season and this year's extravaganza is no exception. You'll see the familiar faces of winters past and can make the most of the experts on hand to advise you on anything snow-related: from which chalet to choose; kids facilities in various resorts and of course... where to get the best snow!

The winter season had it's first public on-snow event this weekend.

January 2009 has been a great month in the Alps. We've had skiing and snowboarding competitions in the shape of the Tignes Airwaves and a number of slightly more unusual events too.

Winter is coming. There is no denying it. Temperatures have dropped, days have become shorter and Christmas decorations are ALREADY in the supermarkets!

The Paradiski celebrates its tenth birthday this year and created this memorable event by asking two world class slack-liners (Julien Millot and Tancrède Melet) to walk the 60m gap between the two cable cars, 380m off the ground!

It won't be long until we can start watching some of our favourite ski racers and national champions hurtling down the mountain again. Forget Ski Sunday, here's where you can come and watch some of the action live in resort:

Day 2 of the Trans Savoie looks epic!! "A tough day on the Trans-Savoie All Mountain Race brought relentless technical, rocky descending followed by faster flowing balcony-style trails in the afternoon. The 1,000m plus Stage One with extended steep rock gardens took its toll - taking UK SPS enduro racer (one of the race favourites) out of the event."

The viral video that everyone's talking about.. "You've got to schuss this bit Margaret; you've got to schuss it!"

Winter starts this weekend in London with the annual Ski and Snowboard Show. This year the show is back in its old venue of Earl's Court and, as usual, there is plenty to do. To help you make the most of the show we went ahead and came up with a list of our top five attractions for this year.

The unique brainchild of Henrik Harlaut and Phil Casabon aka. B-Dog & E-Dollo known simply as the B&E Invitational, is back in Les Arcs for it’s third year, ready to wow the crowds and lay down some of the sickest tricks by the some of the sickest skiers on the planet.

The sun has returned and the snow is deep, meaning we have perfect skiing conditions. The forecast for the rest of the week is for clear skies so things are looking great here in La Plagne.

It's been a cold week here in La Plagne but that has meant great snow that stays soft and fresh for longer than usual. This week I went on the moonlight ski with Oxygene Ski School which was great. It takes place every week and is open to all.

Abby from Oxygene Ski School is back and although she hasn't made it up onto the hill yet it looks like there is more than enough snow in time for Christmas AND there's going to be magicians, comedians and more before the jolly fat chap in red arrives.

Although the beginning of the week had great weather and the forecast for the end of the week is for more snow Tuesday and Wednesday were over cast and a little icy.

We have great snow, hot chocolate and cows in an apres ski bar this week, oh and some seriously epic ski conditions. It's going off in La Plagne at the moment.

The sun has been shining all week in La Plagne but the snow is still in great condition both on and off piste.

We have had sunshine and snow storms this week in La Plagne and all the skiing that goes with these changeable weather conditions. The snow pack is now over three metres after we had a dump of 70cm at the beginnning of the week. WOOT WOOT!!

It has been sunny all week in La Plagne which has been wonderful. The snow is suffering a little bit from all the heavy traffic and a fresh top up would be great but at the moment the skiing conditions are really good, especially on piste.

We have had very mixed weather this week in La Plagne. Clouds and mist and flat light slowed down Kevin Rolland's Shred It competition but when the sun did come out today skiing and snowboarding was great especially higher up where the snow is better.

It has been a strange week here in La Plagne. We have had clear skies and beautiful weather and cloudy flat-light and winds so strong they closed lifts.

Abby has been all over the place this week and there are plenty more reasons to be in and around La Plagne over the next few days; Kevin Rolland's Step Up, X-Games and 30cm of fresh snow.

The sun came out today and the whole area was bathed in sunshine. After the snow that came down earlier in the week the pistes were perfect and Les Arcs enjoyed one of the best days of the season.

Local rider, Thibaud Duchosal, has been a frequent flyer on the European freeride circuit for a few years now and has had some success on the Freeride World Tour with frequent top 10 finishes.

Outdoorsman Ray Mears explores some of France's most beautiful regions and its wildlife. He begins in the Vanoise National Park in the high Alps.

What a great week it has been in the Paradiski area with around 40cm of snow falling early in the week and more expected this weekend. The pistes and the off-piste is in perfect condition and the resort is very quiet at the moment.
