More snow on the forecast this weekend
Christmas time, mistletoe and copious amounts of wine. However I'd trade it all for a dump of snow.
But in reality, the mountain is still great fun, still running and still covered in snow. Granted, lower down, the runs are beginning to lack the essence of fresh snow but stay high as previously mentioned and you’ll be fine.
The Les Arcs Snowpark has been opened with a handful of green features including a line of green kickers, some rails/boxes and just below is the airbag and waterslide (not yet open) opposite a newly refurbished restaurant. Further down The Arpette restaurant also has some new additions reinforcing its reputation as one of, if not, the best après bar on the mountain.
Lift times/lines are getting slightly longer but nothing crazy. I’d say we queued for a maximum of 10mins yesterday which isn’t that bad at all.
If you have a new set of skis or snowboard do be wary of the lower runs as there are stones and rocks rolling around. The mountain staff do their best at removing the larger chunks on the more popular routes, but this is something to be mindful of.
The forecast is changing daily as per usual but it’s looking likely we’ll get something fresh around new years eve/day. Hopefully a sign of more to come.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a happy new year! Cheers!
