A new Guinness World record was set in Les Arcs last night, as 2887 people streamed down the pistes, fluro batons in hand, creating the largest torchlit descent ever seen.

The record was previously held by Swiss resort Schwarzsee Fribourg, who had 2854 people involved.

Les Arcs has broken that record by 33 more people, and long may the record stand! Congratulations to everyone involved.
