Les Arcs 2000
Located <1 km away
Arc 2000 is, perhaps unfairly, considered one of the least pretty resorts in Les Arcs. Whilst the surrounding landscape is typically spectacularly beautiful, the village itself is not the most aesthetically-pleasing. It is, however, surprisingly compact and therefore very effective as both a winter and summer resort.
-
Les Arcs 1950
Located <1 km away
Developed by the same company as Whistler in Canada, Arc 1950 is an exceptionally pretty, compact, high-altitude village just below Arc 2000. It feels like a Disney set, with the whole resort completely pedestrianised and car free. In fact, you can ski right through the centre during the winter. With all the accommodation (and shops and restaurants) allowing ski-in-ski-out access to the pistes, it's absolutely ideal for a winter break.
-
Villaroger
Located 3.8 km away
At 1,200m Villaroger is the lowest of the mountainside villages in Les Arcs. It's an ideal winter destination for skiers who mostly spend all day on the pistes and appreciate a little tranquillity in the evenings. Situated on north-facing slopes, Villaroger is somewhat shaded and therefore retains snow despite its relatively low altitude. In the summer, the village is well connected to the MTB trails and is an ideal starting point for exploring the Tarentaise valley.
-
Les Arcs 1800
Located 3.9 km away
Arc 1800 truly has it all. Consisting of four intertwined high-altitude villages, it gives superlative access to the pistes and trails of Les Arcs whilst featuring a large number of stand-alone attractions, great nightlife and a well-populated annual calendar of events.
-
Les Arcs 1600
Located 4.1 km away
Arc 1600 is also one of the smallest of the villages. Despite recent large-scale developments, it retains its quaint ‘local’ feel and provides excellent access to the rest of the mountain and Bourg St Maurice in the valley.
-
Peisey-Vallandry
Located 6.8 km away
Although the Peisey-Vallandry resort is officially a pair of villages, Plan Peisey and Vallandry, they are completely joined up, with the only major indication of a schism being the existence of two separate snow fronts.
