Where to Eat
Updated

There's a wide range of restaurants to suit every taste and budget in all of the Les Arcs villages, but Arc 1800 has the largest choice. Read our guide on all the best places to eat in Les Arcs and where to find your favourite style of cuisine.

Worth noting is that at lunchtime most restaurants will offer a well-priced 'Plat du Jour' (dish of the day), normally consisting of locally-sourced meat, potatoes and a salad or seasonal vegetables. Most of the restaurants in the villages of Les Arcs are child friendly, and will have children's menus. Some restaurants are open all day and into the evening so you can have early dinner if that suits your family.

Head to Les Arcs 1800 if you want a change from the usual French dishes, with menus that won't break the bank.

Cafes and bakeries

Don’t bother hunting for a full English in Les Arcs, they’re few and far between. Instead, dive into the French vibe with a café visit or grab fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. In Les Arcs 1800, plenty of cafés on the ‘front de neige’ serve up delicious sweet and savoury crêpes, whilst Les Arcs 1950 also has a couple of good breakfast spots.

Throughout the villages you'll easily find a French restaurant to suit both your taste buds and your budget, whether it's homemade Savoyarde specials in a cosy rustic bolthole, or a light airy modern gourmet experience with a wine list and dessert menu to die for.

Mediterranean restaurants

Want to go eat in or a take away - if it's pizza or pasta you're looking for, there is a place for you.

Steaks, burgers, grills and BBQs

In Les Arcs you’ll be spoiled for choice. Mountain bistros serve juicy burgers with local cheese or bacon, alongside vegetarian and child-friendly options. Rustic restaurants specialise in flame-grilled steaks, ribs and sharing platters, whilst some let you cook meat at the table on hot stones.

Sunny terraces combine BBQ plates with après-ski atmosphere and live music, while cosy cafés and bars offer quick favourites like omelettes, pizzas, burgers and fries.
